    Listening Completion Drills Practice Tests

These Listening Completion Drills help you practise filling in blanks in forms, notes, tables, sentences, summaries, and flowcharts. Before you listen, read the questions carefully. Predict what type of answer is needed: a noun, adjective, number, time, date, place, or name. Circle important keywords like names, places, dates, units, and section clues. While listening, focus on meaning, not every single word. Keep the next three questions in mind. If you miss one answer, move on quickly and do not chase it. Use the next part of the audio to check or correct your guess. After listening, check your spelling, word limit, plural -s, hyphens, apostrophes, and number format. ⚠️Important Warning: There are two kinds of numbers in these practice tests. Follow the orange numbers because these are the numbers the speaker will mention in the audio. Do not confuse them with the blue numbers, which are only for test/question organization. The same rule applies to section names. Follow the orange section names because these are the names you will hear from the speaker. Do not confuse them with the blue section names.

Listening Map, Diagram, and Plan Labelling Practice Drills

These Listening Map, Diagram, and Plan Labelling Drills help you practise following directions while looking at a map, building plan, route, or diagram. Before you listen, find the starting point first. Check the main landmarks, such as the entrance, café, road, bridge, room, corner, or building. Mark directions like left, right, north, south, east, and west if they are useful. While listening, follow the speaker’s movement step by step. You may draw small arrows to show the route. Listen carefully for words like go past, turn left, turn right, opposite, next to, just before, just after, and at the end. Do not choose an answer from the picture only. The correct answer must match the map/diagram and the speaker’s directions. After listening, check the exact position. Ask: Is it before, after, beside, opposite, or directly facing the landmark? ⚠️Important Warning: Some tests may show blue question numbers and orange question numbers. If orange numbers are present, ignore the blue numbers. Follow the orange numbers because these are the numbers the speaker will mention in the audio. The blue numbers are only for organizing the test. The same rule applies to section numbers or section names. If orange section labels are shown, follow the orange labels only. Do not follow the blue labels when orange labels are present.

    Listening Matching Drills Practice Tests

These Listening Matching Drills help you practise matching people to opinions, items to features, or events to dates/details. This question type is common in Part 2. It tests how fast you can connect what you hear to the correct option. Before you listen, look at the list of options first. Write a short keyword beside each option if needed. Do not expect the speaker to use the exact same words. The audio will often use synonyms or paraphrases. While listening, follow one person, item, or event at a time. Write the match as soon as you clearly hear the answer. Be careful with words like however, but, in contrast, and while because these words may change the meaning. Do not choose an option just because it is mentioned. Sometimes, the speaker mentions an idea but rejects it. The correct match is the idea that the speaker clearly supports, prefers, chooses, or confirms. After listening, check if the match is directly supported. Ask: Did the speaker agree with this idea, or only mention it? ⚠️Important Warning: Some tests may show blue question numbers and orange question numbers. If orange numbers are present, ignore the blue numbers. Follow the orange numbers because these are the numbers the speaker will mention in the audio. The blue numbers are only for organizing the test. The same rule applies to section numbers or section names. If orange section labels are shown, follow the orange labels only. Do not follow the blue labels when orange labels are present.

Listening Multiple Choice Drills Practice Tests

These Listening Multiple Choice Drills help you practise choosing the best answer in single-answer and multiple-answer questions. Before you listen, read the question and choices carefully. Notice how the options are different: number, date, reason, place, or opinion. Do not wait for the exact same words because the speaker may use synonyms. While listening, focus on the main idea and the detail that proves the answer. Do not choose an option just because you hear one keyword. Sometimes, the first keyword is a trap, and the real answer comes after words like but, however, or only if. For multiple-answer questions, check how many answers are needed. Tick an option only when the speaker clearly confirms it. Do not choose based on first mention only. After listening, eliminate wrong choices with a reason. Ask: Is this answer directly confirmed, or is it only mentioned? ⚠️ Important Warning: Some tests may show blue question numbers and orange question numbers. If orange numbers are present, ignore the blue numbers. Follow the orange numbers because these are the numbers the speaker will mention in the audio. The same rule applies to section numbers or section names. If there are orange section numbers or orange section names, follow the orange ones. Do not follow the blue ones because they are only for test organization.
